Have your say

I was pleased to read that over 140 media bodies are opposing changes to the Freedom of Information Act.

It’s already incredibly difficult to hold elected and unelected representatives to account. To weaken this act would mean that the public would be uninformed about issues which directly affect them. Add that to proposals to introduce tribunal fees, which are already in place in respect of employment tribunals, and the government’s plans to gag trade unions and we’ll soon be living in an elected dictatorship.
