Have your say

May I express my sincere gratitude and thanks to the news editor Allister Webb on his excellent articles on Friday, March 6 on the front page and inside on the LARA Campaign protesters, the Lynn and local people who need to be backed up to the hilt.

This is another example of the Conservative council, be it county or borough, walking roughshod over the wishes of the people of King’s Lynn.

Have the Conservative councillors got so short a memory of 65,000 people who, with the help of Toby Coke and other UKIP councillors, finally stopping the incinerator.

I can’t wait to see how long it will take for our local MP to get his face in on the scene, just as he did with the incinerator, halfway through when he just sat on the fence.

But this time there’s a general election with UKIP snapping at his heels.

As regards to the machines moving in on site from March 2 onwards, these machines normally take one or two weeks advance notice to order. So, at the council meeting on February 26, Cllr Beales already knew the contractor was going to make a start on site. What he said at the meeting was all smoke and mirrors. It’s absolutely disgusting if that is how he treats the people of King’s Lynn.

I know who I shall be voting for in the general and borough elections on May 7.

John Corden
