King’s Lynn Quaker meeting has watched with concern as the outcome of the EU referendum and the campaigning that led up to it have shown up divisions within and between our communities.
There is now a great need for bridge-building, for reaching out to one another, trusting that below the political differences lies a shared humanity and a wish for peaceful, flourishing communities.
We welcome people of other nationalities and appreciate what they contribute. We, like many others, see this time of uncertainty as an opportunity to find common cause with others and hold out a hand of friendship.
Clerk, King’s Lynn Quaker Meeting
