All the world’s a stage, said Shakespeare and I thought that the Pirates of Penzance by the West Norfolk & King’s Lynn Gilbert & Sullivan Society provided the inspiration to carry on regardless which has proved such a strength over the years.
As your reviewer (Lynn News, January 30) reported, Amanda Arterton had to take over singing duties while laryngitis-hit Julie Bjerregaard mimed on the opening night of the show at the Arts Centre. Good old Amanda! Such a stalwart.
In the end I think this acted as such an inspiration that the production was even better than ever. Well done to everyone!
