Have your say

I am concerned about proposals for 40 houses to go ahead in Watlington.

My concerns are that the infrastuction of the area (Mill Lane, Watlington) will not cope with the volume of traffic that will exist. There will be less wildlife, including the endangered species of bats. This area is near gravel pits and a nature reserve. If the powers-that-be approve this application, the traffic will increase and the roads, especially Thieves Bridge Road, were not made for the amount that it will have to cope with.

I fear that yet another village will become a place with no soul and heart. How is the school church and especially the medical centre going to cope with yet more residences? When I came to live here 16 years ago, the medical centre looked after approximately 4,500 patients; that figure is now 6,500 and still counting.

Mrs G Roberts.
