We are both in our 80s and have been attending an outpatients clinic at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital for the past three months, having been told that with a Blue Badge we could park anywhere free.
We were in a disabled parking space on April 25. Having been in two different waiting rooms for more than an hour-and-a-half we were very shocked to find a £50 fine notice on our return to the car. Why are there no notices telling people that there is now a charge for disabled parking?
You don’t go to a ticket machine, where there may have been a notice, if you don’t need a ticket. We can’t be the only ones to be caught by this.
