Nearly every bit of green space here is being taken and built upon. But how many of the houses will be for people who need them and already live here, or who have family living here?
And what jobs will people have when the houses are built? St Edmund’s School is supposed to be moving. It is bad enough having to cross Columbia Way now with the only crossing point at the shop and all the new houses will make it worse. The Tories’ new road already has cars rat-running along it with accidents just waiting to happen. The increase in cars will mean parents will have to dodge between speeding traffic to take children across busy roads to get to the new school. The chairman of Norfolk County Council does not have to take young children across busy roads – if he did he would know how wheelchair users and others with mobility problems feel. If he was visually impaired he would know how I feel. I’m in my seventies, registered blind. Please Greens, Lib Dems or even UKIP will one of you put up a candidate in North Lynn and give an old man someone to vote for?
