Have your say

Earlier this month we visited the Saddlebow recycling facility and were confronted with a monumental jam of vehicles waiting to disgorge their contents consisting mainly of garden waste.

The queue was because a contractor was unloading a vanload of garden waste into the one and only garden waste container. I realise that the council has recently introduced a contractors’ waste scheme at Saddlebow and rightly so. I wonder why the council did not foresee that adding contractor garden waste to the sole garden waste skip would cause congestion on the site. Perhaps it will consider an extra skip now? Many thanks to the recycling site workers who are always pleasant and willing to help us shorter and elderly folk, your help is always very much appreciated.
