Have your say

I read your report that the “QEH is recruiting 30 Spanish nurses and 70 nurses from the Philippines” (Lynn News, March 6).

Welcome all, we residents and the nursing team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Lynn need you to lighten the workload of existing nursing staff.

I do wonder if all these nurse from abroad are qualified to the same degree level as are our UK trained nurses these days.

I also worry that the requirement for UK trained nurses to have a degree is not precluding potential nurses, who would rather nurse than study for three years, from entering this noble profession.
