I would just like to echo the comments made by Mrs J Nelson (Viewpoint, November 20) in respect of the service she received at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
I attended the eye clinic on the afternoon of November 16, and was told that I needed to be referred to the TIA Unit for further investigations and that they would contact me with an appointment. I was astonished to be contacted less than 48 hours later and given an appointment for 8am on the following day! When I attended the TIA Unit, I can’t imagine how I could possibly have received better treatment and care. The staff were very pleasant, thorough and efficient. We all know the NHS is not perfect although in my experience it was brilliant. A heartfelt “Thank You” to all concerned.
