Have your say

On a recent routine visit to our village health centre it was found that my blood pressure and heart rate were somewhat abnormal.

Within half-an-hour I had had an ECG, been seen by a doctor and instructed to go straight away with an accompanying letter to the AEC (heart) department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Once there I was given a further ECG, blood tests and a chest X-ray. After a reassuring discussion with the duty doctor I was booked for a future appointment, issued with some medication and letter for my doctor.

I was back home later that afternoon. Oh, and the hospital also gave my wife and I sandwiches and a cup of tea while we waited!

I can only say how efficient and confident I found the whole experience.
