File photo dated 28/2/12 of a builder working on a new house. New figures show that the number of house building starts in England has risen by almost one-third since the same time last year.

Regarding the story of Persimmon Homes donating £1,000 to the Terrington St Clement Village Hall renovations because they want to be involved in the community.

Another 41 properties in the village just adds to the strain on doctors, schools and traffic. If they cared about the community, why are they causing such extensive damage to roads, grass verges and gardens? They are going to have to do a lot better than £1,000 to undo what they have done.
