Often we hear reports of treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital which falls short of what is expected.
My brothers, sisters and myself have nothing but praise for the treatment received by our late mother. Having reached the age of 100 last October, she found herself in the QEH at the beginning of July. As this was her first stay in hospital, it is not difficult to imagine all the different emotions she must have been feeling. From the paramedics who took her to hospital to all the staff who cared for her, she received kindness, care and above all dignity. Nothing was too much trouble and her family were never made to feel they were an inconvenience for being with her. We cannot speak highly enough of the care and support of everyone during her week’s stay on Oxborough Ward and send our grateful thanks to everyone who cared for our mum.
