Norfolk Fire and Rescue's youth programme team upgrades care home garden area

Youngsters on a youth programme have completed a fundraising project for a North Wootton care home, which saw them renovate their garden.

The group upgraded the garden area at Wyndham House by laying a patio, building raised flower beds, laying shingle, making planters out of reused car tyres, creating a beach themed mural with a beach hut style shed painting, planting lots of colourful flowers and painting their fence to bring a new lease of life and colour into the garden for the residents and staff.

The youth programme, run by Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service in partnership with the Prince's Trust and the College of West Anglia, is made up of a team of 16 to 25-year-olds who are not in employment, education or training.
