Famous YouTuber Beard Meats Food releases video filmed at Dersingham Spar as he tackles ‘Sparticus’ eating challenge

A popular YouTuber’s video featuring a West Norfolk village shop has racked up more than a million views in less than 24 hours.

Beard Meats Food took on a mammoth eating challenge when he visited Dersingham’s Spar shop on Hunstanton Road back in August.

The viral sensation, who has a 4.5 million-strong subscriber base, tackled the store’s ‘Spar-ticus’ challenge - a two-foot French stick stuffed with eggs, bacon, footlong sausages, mushrooms and cheese - which he had 20 minutes to finish.

On Sunday night, his video titled “I TRIED A FOOD CHALLENGE IN A PACKED SUPERMARKET WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN BEATEN!” went live and has gained more than 1.5 million views already.

The special guest, whose real name is Adam Moran, finished the job in 17 minutes and 40 seconds while customers watched and was so dedicated to the attempt that he ate cheese that had dropped onto the floor.

Back in August, store manager Liam Cross said once Adam finished, he was asking for more, so he gave him “a portion of our famous battered chicken bites and a potato dog - which he poured honey onto”.

Liam added: “Then, continuing the tradition of all his videos, he indulged in dessert which was a cream Belgian bun.”

Those who complete the £19.95 super-sized sandwich in time win their money back and get their picture on the winner’s hall of fame.

Mr Cross added: “He was a lovely chap and made everyone’s day, customers loved the buzz and excitement this created and we would now love anyone to come and see if they can beat his time.”
