King's Lynn Town remain four points clear in National League North after Marriott double at Blyth Spartans
Blyth Spartans 0 King's Lynn Town 3
Striker Adam Marriott struck a double as league leaders King's Lynn Town maintained their four-point advantage at the top of the National League North standings.
Marriott bagged two goals in the opening 18 minutes before Rory McAuley completed an impressive performance in the North East by adding a third early in the second half.
In the third minute, home goalkeeper Zach Hemming showed unbelievable reflexes to deny Chris Henderson from close range.
But less than ten minutes later Lynn were in front when Michael Gash's ball over the top was converted by the prolific Marriott.
Lynn doubled their advantage six minutes later as Marriott pounced again for his 28th league goal of the season.
Norwich City loanee Simon Power side-footed an effort past Hemming's near post as the visitors remained well on top before the home goalkeeper made himself big to deny Marriott a hat-trick a few minutes later.
Lynn wrapped up the three points 15 minutes into the second period with a third goal from defender McAuley.
The Linnets remain four points clear at the top with two games in hand after York City defeated Kettering Town 1-0 at Bootham Crescent.
