Pentney Nar Valley Fisheries: angler Matt Heath hauls two mirror carp toalling 80lb with Lake Geneva a good spot
There is not long left of the coarse fishing season at Nar Valley Fisheries, which closes on March 31, and the members are making the most of the current mild weather.
Fenn Lake is always a good winter venue for carp with double figure and to mid-20lb fish the target. This weekend most anglers on the water banked fish in this range.
The bream of John’s Pond are on the move with specimen fish showing well. During this last week the carp of Lake Geneva have started to feed well and therefore rolling to give away their locations.
A good number of carp have been caught from all around the lake, with Matt Heath dropping onto a group of willing fish resulting in a couple of superb mirror carp weighing in at a massive 43lb 8oz and 36lb exactly. For more information about permits for next season contact Chris on 01553 636507.
