King’s Lynn race circuit set to host hugely-popular Halloween Carnival night
One of the biggest meetings of the season takes place at Lynn this Saturday (5pm) with the annual Halloween Carnival night.
The popular event will feature the Unlimited Bangers who will be racing in the Supernatural Championship – a race for Hearses and Limousines, the 1300 stock cars, who will contest the World of Shale, and the Reliant Robins.
This is a great family-orientated event and also includes a gigantic fireworks display and a Halloween fancy-dress parade for all the kids.
This is also the final meeting of the season proper with no more racing at the Adrian Flux Arena until December.
Please note that this meeting has been a sellout for the past few seasons and is an advance ticket only. Tickets are expected to sell out by Friday lunchtime at the latest and they are only available from: www.stockcar-racing.co.uk
West Norfolk drivers will be in action in all three formulas.
Around 100 unlimited bangers are booked to race and the entry list is like a who’s who of the sport with most of the sport’s top drivers in the UK in action and Maarten Steenbekker leading a threatening invasion from mainland Europe.
As is normally the case at this meeting, there are also some amazing cars booked in for action.
The top car of the meeting is likely to be the 1959 Fleetwood Cadillac in the hands of Bicester’s Mark Walker – indeed it will be a contender for a car of the year to be seen anywhere it is a truly lovely machine.
Two West Norfolk drivers will also be in special cars with Andy Frost also opting for some Yank tin in the shape of a sublime Caddy Deville whilst Sam Coote will be in the Supernatural Championship as he gets into the Halloween theme with a Hearse.
Other local drivers in action in the unlimited bangers include the always rapid Ashlun Woods, Darren Fendley, Lester Freestone and the always hugely entertaining Ross Cooper.
Garry Lusher will be looking to top off a great debut season in the 1300 stock cars with a good result in his first major championship having qualified for the World of Shale.
A good finish to the season saw Lusher pile on the qualifying points and he will start the big race on the outside of the third row.
Brad Bowman – buoyed on from winning the final in the Big Van Bangers last August – will be making his debut in the Reliant Robins and we are sure he will be making the headlines in those one way or the other.
