King's Lynn assistant boss issues rallying call to fans for final push in National League North
Hugo Langton has issued a big rallying cry to supporters – to get behind King's Lynn Town's promotion push in big numbers.
The assistant Linnets boss is hoping crowds will regularly pass the four-figure mark as his side maintain their challenge for glory in the National League North
Langton hopes football supporters across the town will also back his side in what could be a memorable end to the campaign.
Lynn host Farsley Celtic at The Walks tomorrow night having again replaced AFC Fylde at the summit over the weekend and Langton said: "We're getting to this stage of the season now and you know, it could be an exciting end. We hope that it is.
"We want supporters to bring along their family and mates as we are a good side.
“We are a good side and I'd like to see the town actually, if possible, celebrate the fact we've actually got a very good football team at the moment.
"Forget about where we are in the division, we are a very good football team, so I like to think it's one the town should be proud of.
"There's still 12 games to go and there is likely to be more bumps, twists and turns ahead."
Lynn, the division’s leading scorers in terms of goals-per-game, entertain the division’s weakest defence – but The Villagers are one of only five sides to have beaten Tommy Widdrington's side this season.
The relegation strugglers cannot be taken for granted, however, having won at Scarborough and gained draws at Kettering and Banbury.
Midfielder Theo Widdrington should be back in contention for a starting berth having been rested for Saturday's thrilling 3-2 victory over Scarborough Athletic at The Walks.
