King’s Lynn welcome in new speedway season as bumper crowd attends testimonial meeting for Danish ace

A bumper crowd saw in the 2025 speedway season at the Adrian Flux Arena as King's Lynn favourite Niels-Kristian Iversen celebrated his testimonial.

Iversen got the turnout he deserved for his commitment to British Speedway, and to the Stars in particular, and the weather also remained on his side during the meeting.

Former Lynn star Robert Lambert was in dominant form throughout the main four-team tournament event, racing to a 12-point maximum from four rides.

But it was Ipswich's Jason Doyle who took the honours in the individual Final, defeating Lambert, Fredrik Lindgren and Sam Masters to win the prize of a new GM engine.

The team event was won by the Newport Wasps quartet, with Iversen part of that line-up and collecting two race wins for an eight-point score in support of Doyle on 11.

Swedish ace Fredrik Lindgren (10) was also in double figures for Wolverhampton, who finished second on the day, with King's Lynn third and Peterborough fourth as several of the regular Stars riders enjoyed a good on-track workout.

Next on the calendar is press and practice on Friday evening (March 21) ahead of the start of team competition against Oxford in the Knockout Cup on March 24.
