King's Lynn teenager clinches first karting title of 2019

Teenage karting ace Aaron Alexander clinched his first title of the season in the penultimate championship meeting at the Shennington Circuit.

The youngster was crowned Shennington Junior Extreme Pro Kart champion after showing his true talent with some very close racing at the Oxfordshire venue.

The top three drivers put on a good show, racing wheel-to-wheel all day.

Alexander won all his three heats and went onto win the final to seal championship glory with one round to go.

The teenager, who has enjoyed another excellent season on the track, now turns his attentions to the Teesside championship which he is currently leading.

After two dropped rounds there is still 645 points to fight for at the meeting which takes place over the final weekend in October.
