On Wednesday night (June 17), 7.30pm, the King’s Lynn Stebbings Car Superstore Young Stars return to action at the Adrian Flux Arena when they host local rivals Mildenhall in the National League.
Young Stars number one James Cockle has been ruled out of the meeting after suffering a shoulder injury in the National League Fours competition at Coventry last weekend. Former Young Stars rider Kyle Hughes steps into the side to guest ride.
Team manager Dale Allitt has kept the remainder of his team unchanged for the meeting against his local rivals, who have started the National League season well.
The Fen Tigers occupy fourth in the table and have so far won four of their seven meetings. When Mildenhall visited the Adrian Flux Arena earlier in the season for the Knockout Cup, the Young Stars pulled off a 19-point win, but Allitt knows that Wednesday’s meeting will be tougher.
Allitt said: “Losing James is a blow for us, he has been great this season so Wednesday will be hard.
“Having said that, Kyle can do a good job for us, he knows this place well and I believe he can score some good points against them.
“We haven’t race at home for a couple of weeks, but the boys are fresh, ready to race and want a win.”
Gates at the Adrian Flux Arena open at 6.30pm on Wednesday. Admission prices: Adults £11, Concessions £9, Juniors £4, Kids Under 11 go free.
