Fakenham Town, Downham Town and Heacham discover their opponents in the early rounds of the FA competitions

The draw for the first two rounds of the FA competitions has taken place today, with Fakenham Town, Downham Town and Heacham finding out their opponents.

In the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup, Downham Town have been drawn away to Mildenhall Town, while Fakenham Town will host higher-league Wroxham and Heacham will also entertain higher-league opposition in the shape of Newmarket Town.

If victorious against Mildenhall, Downham Town will host the winners of the Fakenham Town and Wroxham tie, while Heacham will host Felixstowe should they overcome the Jockeys.

Extra preliminary round ties will be played on Saturday, August 2, with preliminary round games taking place on Saturday, August 16.

This season sees Step 4 Downham Town make their debut in the FA Trophy and in the first qualifying round on Saturday, September 6, Dale Stokes' side will travel to Walthams

In the first qualifying round of the FA Vase on Saturday, August 23, Heacham will take on Ely City at Station Road and Fakenham Town have been drawn at home to Stowmarket Town.

If victorious, Heacham would then host Fakenham Town in the second qualifying round on Saturday, September 20.

In the FA Youth Cup preliminary round, to be played the first week in September, Heacham will travel to Soham Town Rangers.
