Jamie Sparrow heads King’s Lynn Cycling Club team-mate Simon Hardy in Breckland Spring 10-mile TT
Two King’s Lynn Cycling Club members attended the Breckland club's first Spring 10-mile TT, writes Phillip Seaman.
A bright day but very challenging on the outward leg due to a strong head wind and undulating roads. Although sections were sheltered by trees and hedges, the open spaces made it a hard race.
Simon Hardy came over the finish line in 25.10 and the other club rider, Jamie Sparrow, stormed over at 22.00.
The club will be holding their road race on a new circuit on the morning of Sunday, March 22. This race is likely to attract up to 60 riders from different parts of East Anglia and will race through the villages of Tilney St Lawrence and Terrington St John.
This event is being sponsored by refrigeration firm Foster Gamko. The other sponsors are Paragon Garage and Sealskinz. The race will start at 10.30am from the Tilney St Lawrence village hall.
This spectacular can be watched during the seven laps through the villages. The race of 55 miles will finish approx 12.30 on the Magdalen road just outside the villages. There will be a rolling road closure ahead of the peloton, so short delays are expected, but the club would ask motorists to be patient.
