Division One

CSKA Emneth Reserves 1 CSKA Emneth 5

In a competitive local derby, it was once again the first team who took the points to increase their lead at the top of the Division One table, writes Will Jones.

A brace from Joe Reed and goals from Tom Brazil, Arron McKenna and Toby Allen sealed the win.

CSKA require at least one more point from their last game despite being five points ahead of second-placed Woodman’s Cottage.

Division Two

Southery ASA 3 Ingoldisthorpe 2

With Division Two leaders Shouldham not playing, it was a chance for both Southery ASA and Ingoldisthorpe to take advantage and head the table.

Ingoldisthorpe took the lead after ten minutes with a well-taken Simon Bush goal and should have extended their advantage on numerous occasions, but Southery ASA held on and equalised a minute before half-time.

Despite Ingoldisthorpe scoring through Kyle Hitchcock early in the second half, Southery ASA started to take control and scored to level matters at 2-2.

The game had a draw written all over it, but Southery scored the winner with three minutes to go and Ingoldisthorpe didn’t have time to respond.

Southery ASA scorers were Liam Cox, Dan Cook and George Sharp.

March Sunday 1 West Lynn Athletic 2

West Lynn Athletic took three points to keep in touch with the top three in the league and give themselves an outside chance of the title.

In a hard-fought encounter on a heavy pitch, goals from Aaron Marshall and Travis Mortimer were enough despite a James Harness response from March Sunday.
