Dersingham driver misses podium spot at Brands Hatch circuit in Kent
Civic racer Phil Wright was back in action for rounds seven and eight of the Racing Hondas Championship last weekend at Tunerfest South held at Brands Hatch in Kent.
Wright qualified seventh overall in a field of 30 drivers and sixth in class A.
A quick getaway at the start of race one enabled Wright to work his way up to fifth by lap eight.
On lap 10 Wright took a lot of the kerb at turn four which caused the fuel supply to cut out and he was forced to retire from the race.
Wright made another good start from 6th in race two and moved himself up to fourth by the end of the first lap.
A spin at Paddock Hill bend at the end of lap two brought out the safety car and the next few laps were neutralised.
With only four laps left after the safety car peeled off, the Dersingham driver pursued the No 82 car of Harvey but couldn't quite catch him before the chequered flag.
Wright competes next at Tunerfest North at the Cheshire circuit of Oulton Park on July 20.
He is supported By Luke Loades of Rounce and Evans Property Management and Jordan Cribb of Vertex Architecture.
