Dersingham clash with Reffley in Division One of the North West Norfolk League turns on goalkeeper dismissal
Reffley 1 Dersingham A 8
The top-of-the-table clash between Refley and Dersingham A in Division One of the North West Norfolk League turned on the sending-off of the Refley goalkeeper.
The shotstopper was forced to handle the ball outside the area to stop Dersingham scoring.
Dane Hipkin and Tom Wicklen scored a good goal a piece.
Just before half-time, Refley's Dion Evans hit a great shot which Dersingham's goalie, James Eyre, had to make a tremendous save.
The second half saw Sonny Devlin score a sensational goal.
Dersingham's extra man advantage, and some fine finishing, saw goals from Dersingham's Chris Smith, and Nathan Mitchell, a second goal for Dane Hipkin, and Lewis Batterbee and a late goal for, the evergreen, Liam Kerr.
Jame Eyre saved a Refley penalty and then Refley's Precious Bison, their Man of the Match, lobbed the Dersingham's goalkeeper for a consolation goal.
The Dersinham management team could not pick just one player for their "Man of the Match" so they selected the whole squad as they had all given everything.
The referee, Lewis Foulger, had a good game and kept the match flowing.
