After the game, Downham Tweeted: "A brilliant three points against an in-form side.

"Came under plenty of pressure throughout the game, with several balls into the box, but rode the storm and grabbed a 90th-minute winner."

Joint boss Dale Stokes added:”Harsh on Walsham, who deserved something from the game. Been impressive in both fixtures. One of the best sides we’ve played this season.”

Next up for Downham is a home League Challenge Cup quarter-final clash against Mulbarton Wanderers on Wednesday night.

Fakenham Town remain on course for a top-half finish despite a 2-1 reverse at Harleston Town this afternoon.

In the First Division North, Swaffham Town were beaten 3-0 on their travels at Harwich and Parkeston.
