Downham Town stay unbeaten on their Thurlow Nunn Premier Division travels with victory at Walsham le Willows
Matty Castellan popped up with a late winner as Downham Town maintained their push for a Thurlow Nunn Premier Division play-off spot.
Defender Castellan struck in injury time as Downham ended Walsham le Willows' five-match unbeaten run in the top flight.
Downham are still unbeaten away from the SCL Memorial Field this season and stay seventh in the league table - just three points away from Harleston Town in fifth spot.
After the game, Downham Tweeted: "A brilliant three points against an in-form side.
"Came under plenty of pressure throughout the game, with several balls into the box, but rode the storm and grabbed a 90th-minute winner."
Joint boss Dale Stokes added:”Harsh on Walsham, who deserved something from the game. Been impressive in both fixtures. One of the best sides we’ve played this season.”
Next up for Downham is a home League Challenge Cup quarter-final clash against Mulbarton Wanderers on Wednesday night.
Fakenham Town remain on course for a top-half finish despite a 2-1 reverse at Harleston Town this afternoon.
In the First Division North, Swaffham Town were beaten 3-0 on their travels at Harwich and Parkeston.
