Ryston Runners members Mark Rollings and Jeremy Navrady participate in Tallington Triathlon

In preparation for the Holkham Outlaw Triathlon next month, Ryston Runners members Mark Rollings and Jeremy Navrady warmed up with a debut for both on the Olympic Triathlon distance at the Tallington Triathlon.

In a field of 100 competitors, they enjoyed excellent weather for the 1500m lake swim, 48km bike ride and 10km run along the lakeside.

Rollings was first of the pair home in an excellent time of 2.58.33 for 39th, while Navrady followed in 56th place in 3.07.29.

While they were in close proximity up to the run section, Rollings’ superior form paid off with a fast finish.

n Competing in the Moulton Five on Saturday, Paul Firmage, of Ryston Runners, finished 24th out of 36 in 58.42. The out-and-back course was very undulating, while it was also very warm.
