Ghosts keen to maintain good Thurlow Nunn Division One North league form

Fakenham Town manager Andy Cunningham is backing his side to stretch their unbeaten run to nine matches when they host to Felixstowe and Walton United Reserves tomorrow.

The Ghosts have won all three of their Thurlow Nunn First Division North fixtures so far this month, climbing to fifth in the standings.

Victory against the Seasiders' second string tomorrow could see Cunningham’s side go fourth in the table and the Ghosts boss is backing his side to bag another three points.

Cunningham said: “We are going into the game confident, on a high, and if we maintain the high standards we have set then I am sure we can get another positive result.

“I am not one of these managers who spends a lot of time looking at the league table, you know if you are winning games then you are going to climb the table.

“If we get the performance right and keep doing the things we have been doing as well as we have been doing them then we will give ourselves a great chance of getting another three points.”

Following last weekend’s morale-boasting win, King’s Lynn Town Reserves host Wisbech St Mary in a derby at The Walks.

Manager Neil Fryatt said: “For any King’s Lynn side I’m associated with, it’s always a big game.

“Teams always raise their game against King’s Lynn sides and Saturday will be no different.

“There’s three points at stake. I just hope the lads can carry on from where they left off last Saturday.

“They showed that they can play at the level and the standard that Adam (Seal) and myself know they can.”

Elsewhere, Downham Town travel to Ipswich Wanderers, while Paul Hunt’s Swaffham Town side are without a fixture.

The Pedlars return to action on Tuesday night when they face Dereham Town in the semi-finals of the Norfolk Senior Cup at Norfolk County FA’s FDC.
