King's Lynn's Adrian Flux Arena hosts stock car and banger finale
The big finale of the stock car and banger season at Lynn’s Adrian Flux Arena takes place tomorrow (5pm) with the traditional Halloween Carnival Night.
This tends to be the biggest night of the season with the pits bursting with cars together with a whole host of other activities makes this a night of fun for all the family.
As well as plenty of fireworks on track, there is also a gigantic fireworks display taking place together with the annual Halloween parade where everyone in Halloween fancy dress gets to show off their outfits by doing a lap of the track and get a free goody bag. There are also free funfair rides for the kids.
There is a gigantic entry of unlimited bangers booked to race with more than 100 booked for action as we go to press. The entry is also packed full of talent and material.
This year’s entry has so many hearses and limousines booked for action that they have been given their own race with the Supernatural Championship looking at being a very spectacular race.
The first title race for the bangers will be the 25 and under Championship of Great Britain which, as the title suggests, is the main race of the season for drivers in this age range.
Despite the wealth of your talent from the area, no West Norfolk driver has ever won this race with Nathan Young’s brace of third place victories in 2015 and 2016 being the closest yet.
Looking to improve on that record will be James Licquorice and Lee Barnes.
Of the two, Licquorice will be the best hope of getting a local win having already taken the chequered flag in the unlimited bangers.
Barnes is not a regular performer in the unlimited bangers although his performance in the 4x4 SUV Bangers earlier this year, where he was a race winner, showed he is more than capable of handling the bigger machinery.
Other local drivers booked to race in the unlimited bangers include James Ellis, Billy Bond, Kevin McClagish and Dan Clarke.
The 1300 stock cars are also in action.
This formula also contests its 25 and Under Championship of GB where Ross and John Klyn, as well as Barty Ketteringham, will all be contenders.
Lee Green makes his first appearance in the formula for a couple of years in what is rumoured to be a brand new car.
Shane and John Moat are also expected to be making their first appearances of the season whilst Scott Sparrow is also booked for action.
Completing the action will be the Reliant Robins where the entry includes Roy Gedge who is looking a good bet to retain his national points title, and Marcus Skeels.
