Would all existing track staff, stewards and meeting staff please attend the meeting in the Champs Bar, Adrian Flux Arena, to discuss roles and the upcoming season.

Lynn are looking for additional staff to assist on race nights for both Elite League and National League meetings. Available positions are: DJ, infield staff, stewards and big screen operator. If you would be interested in joining the race day team please come to the meeting.

l British Speedway vice-chairman Rob Godfrey says a busy Sunday of talks in Rugby proved challenging but positive.

Godfrey and other club promoters and officials, including chairman Keith Chapman (Lynn), met riders in the morning to discuss a range of issues including proposals to introduce standardised, sealed engines to the sport in future.

A panel then took questions from supporters in an open forum lasting over three hours.

Godfrey said: “We were absolutely honest and there was a lot of positivity.

“People have got some grievances but they aren’t grievances of a level we probably all thought they were, and they accept that we’re trying.

“Moving forward, we met the riders in the morning and that was so positive. We had feedback from riders on an idea Keith has, and the riders want the standardisation to happen.”

l British Speedway’s third tier is celebrating a major new sponsorship deal for the 2016 campaign.

The National League, which this season has been boosted in number to 12 clubs, has secured title sponsorship with long-established tour company Travel Plus Tours.
