Daniels is new Fakenham Reserves boss


Fakenham Town FC confirmed their Reserve Team will definitely be part of the Anglian Combination League in division 3 for the upcoming 2016-17 season.

The Ghosts also welcome 33 year-old Trevor Daniels to Clipbush Park as their new Reserves manager.

The club said: “With a huge wealth of football experience from playing at King’s Lynn to coaching in the USA and with Peterborough United, Trevor will be a great addition to the senior management team of Wayne Anderson, Neil Jarvis and Kristian Jones.

“Training sessions have already begun for the new season and if you’re interested in playing at our fantastic facilities whilst being trained by our high quality coaches please get in touch.”

n Pre-season training for Downham Town has just started and will continue Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7.30-9pm.

Friendly games: July 7: against Sheringham 8pm kick off at Easton College; Friday, July 22 Thetford away, 7.45pm; Thursday, July 28: Cromer away, 7.30pm.

n Key Swaffham Town defender Dean Miller has left to join ambitious Thurlow Nunn League club Wisbech St Mary FC.

Miller Tweeted: “I want to thank @Swaffham_TownFC for 4/5 great seasons, but I have decided to play my football elsewhere. Wish you all the best for the season.”

Saints have also completed the signing of experienced goalkeeper Matty Hails from Dersingham where he was captain and who has previously played for both Swaffham and Lynn.
