Dersingham Rovers 2
Harleston Town 3
Rovers manager Robbie Back said after the game that defensive mistakes cost his side three points after a very good first half performance.
“I’ve not had the same back four for a run of games which is hindering the side in climbing up the table,” he commented.
Rovers started very brightly with Howard going close but his shot went over the bar.
Rovers scored when Maslin cleverly chipped the Harleston keeper from the edge of the box. Anderson made it 2-0 with an 18 yard shot which clipped the cross bar after a fine move involving Battersby and Curson.
Harleston then got one back just before the break against the run of play.
It was all Rovers for the first 20 minutes of the second half but they failed with two clear-cut chances. They paid for missed chances when a mistake in the defence let Hall free to equalise. With five minutes to go Hall completed his hat-trick after another defensive mistake.
MKM MoM: Chris Maslin.
Rovers are away to Norwich Ceyms tomorrow, 2pm KO.
