Former Frigoscandia FC player Keith Daykin has contacted us in regarding a club reunion and a plea for information.

He writes: “The old players of Frigoscandia Sunday from the 1970s are having a reunion on Sunday, March 13 to remember probably the club’s finest hour when we almost made it to the Sunday Intermediate Cup Final in 1976.

“We lost at the eventual winners Wymondham Sunday 4-3 after extra time in the semi-final in February of that year, so the campaign started back in the autumn of 1975.

“I recollect we beat Bell Rangers at Marham 4-0 in the first round and then I believe we beat Dereham Old Boys 6-3 at theirs. I cannot remember who we played next but I remember we beat Five Star Reserves from Norwich 2-1 at West Lynn in the quarter-final.

“In particular I am still trying to contact ex-player, Mal Daly and an everpresent supporter, Bob Brady.”

Anyone who would like to attend the reunion, wants any more information, or has memories/photos/cuttings can e-mail

The programme was again affected by a number of postponements because of waterlogged pitches, writes John Turner.

In the only match in Division One, defending league champions Castle Acre Swifts visited the leaders Narborough and ran out as 4-0 winners to go back to the top of the table.

Northwold won their Division Three derby with Feltwell Utd Res 5-2.
