The result left Dereham six points behind fourth from bottom Downham with one game remaining.
Lynn Res last night (Thursday) beat Wivenhoe Town 4-0 – who are realistically champions after being three points and 22 goals ahead of second-spot Ely – and tomorrow entertain Braintree Town to cap their fine season.
Thurlow Nunn Youth League Western Division title winners Lynn Under 18s progress to the league play-offs where they will entertain Biggleswade Town in the semi-final next week.
Biggleswade won the Cambridgeshire Division, netting 82 goals in 18 matches with just two defeats. In the league cup Lynn won at Walsham-le-Willows in the semi-final last night on penalties.
In the Thurlow Nunn Premier, fourth from bottom Swaffham Town won at Newmarket Town 5-4 on Monday, thanks to a Joe Jackson foursome and an Alex Vincent goal, and lost 3-1 at home to Saffron Walden on Wednesday, when Vincent scored and Dean Miller earned a red card.
The Pedlars finish their season tomorrow away to Hadleigh United.
Fakenham Town conclude their campaign at Walsham le Willows. If the Ghosts win and both Thetford Town and Swaffham lose, then they can leapfrog out of the relegation bottom three.
