King’s Lynn Town boss Gary Setchell wants his side to be more difficult to beat on the road – starting with their Southern League trip to Stratford Town tonight.
Lynn make their first visit to Stratford looking for some crucial league points and an improvement in away form.
Setchell said: “We need to play like Frome did against us on Saturday.
“At the minute we are a young squad and are treating our away games like we do the home matches.
“Away from home you have to be rugged, dogged, stick your foot in and leave a little bit on the opposition.”
Town are four places below Lynn in the league table but have three games in hand and are unbeaten in their last four league games.
This is Stratford’s first season in the Premier Division having been promoted from Division One South and West via the play-offs.
Their leading scorer is Edwin Ahenkorah who has scored 11 goals from 23 appearances this season.
Their squad includes 21-year-old winger Dior Angus, the son of former Fulham defender Terry Angus, who was previously with Kidderminster Harriers and Solihull Moors.
Emmitt Delfouneso, brother of former Aston Villa striker Nathan Delfouneso, is a summer signing from Nuneaton.
Just three players remain from the Lynn squad that played against Stratford in the clubs’ only previous meeting, which took place at The Walks in October 2011 when the sides competed in the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup.
At that time Lynn were in the United Counties League and Stratford were plying their trade in the Midland Alliance.
