Quorn 1 Swaffham Town 3

A great performance from a young and depleted Pedlars squad away to Midland Alliance side, Quorn FC.

Swaffham took the lead 20 minutes into the game, Mark Allibone providing the assist for Alex Vincent to first time hit home.

The Pedlars doubled their tally in the second half, Allibone rewarded for his hard work and deservedly slotting past the keeper.

Quorn pulled one back to revive the friendly but the game was put to bed with 10 minutes to go, substitute Connor McQuaid scoring on his first team debut with nearly his first touch.

The Pedlars are in action tonight (Tuesday, kick off 7.45pm), welcoming Anglian Combination Premier opposition Acle to Shoemakers Lane.

Next Saturday First and Reserve teams travel to Horsford for two mixed games, the first kicking off at 1pm.

Many thanks to Neil and Keith Patrick of NK Patrick for their support and expertise in resolving floodlight issues and adding some preventative measures for the future use.

The Swaffham Hospital Cup Committee were delighted to present a cheque for £800 to the League of Friends at their annual Cheese and Wine fundraising event. The money was collected through donations at the cup matches and will go towards the necessary aids and equipment at the Community Hospital.
