King’s Lynn Town FC boss Gary Setchell promises to bring in fresh faces after seeing his side suffer back-to-back home Evo-Stik League Premier Division defeats for the first time this season.
Leon Mettam netted a late consolation for the hosts with his third strike in as many games, but it was too little, too late, as the Linnets lost to second-spot Workington.
After the game at The Walks, Setchell said: “I’m hoping to bring one or two players this week. I know what we need, we need some leadership and steel.
“I know what areas I’ve got to strengthen. Leon (Mettam) goes back after the Nantwich game and I need somebody in as we haven’t really replaced George (Thomson) yet.
“I need a couple of your Richard Bunting and Phil Gulliver-type players, but unfortunately mobile players like Richard are playing in the Championship.
“The money is there to bring players in and the chairman is willing me to do it. You have to go through the seven-day process and everything else.
“We’re at that now. I’ve spoken to the players and offered them what we can offer them and they are obviously going to do what’s best for themselves.
“It’s a difficult time of the season. Our league position isn’t over-inviting on top of the travelling and everything else.”
