Linnets supporters will get their first pre-season glimpse of the team on home soil tonight when they host Spalding United at The Walks (7.45pm).
Spalding United are managed by former Lincoln United boss Dave Frecklington who has completely rebult the Tulips’ squad over the summer.
On Saturday, the Linnets opened their summer programme with a 4-1 victory at Dereham Town.
Michael Clunan gave Lynn a 1-0 lead at half-time from the penalty spot before Toby Hilliard, Lee Stevenson and Dylan Edge added to the tally in the second half.
Linnets boss Gary Setchell gave a run out to a handful of reserve team players, while coach Gary Mills played a part in the second half.
On Friday, summer signing Leon Mettam was named captain for the forthcoming 2016/17 campaign.
Mettam has replaced last year’s captain Sam Gaughran.
Gaughran said: “Due to the increase in responsibilities for the captain this season, I have decided to step down.
“I am 100 per cent committed to the football club and will still try be a leader on and off the field.
“I want to really concentrate on my own personal performances and get back to my best and help this great club progress up the football ladder.
“Personally I felt I didn’t perform to my capability last season, but I have worked hard over the summer to put these right and feel fitter and stronger for this coming season.”
On Gaughran stepping down, manager Setchell said: “I totally understand Sam’s decision and have been pleased with the way he has returned to training, it’s the fittest I have seen him for a long time.
“With Leon, it’s great to have someone to take over from Sam who is a natural leader and will demand the best from everyone.
“Hopefully he can take us to the play-offs like he did with Worksop when he was skipper a couple of years ago.
“Sam will be the vice-captain for Leon.”
