A well deserved point which should have been all three for the Pedlars away to Hadleigh United.

Alex Vincent netted his first of the afternoon after 29 minutes, played through by Mark Allibone and striking left footed from 16 yards across the keeper into the bottom right hand corner of the net.

David Weaver-Pope came off two minutes later with a pulled hamstring, Tommy Hunt being his replacement.

The game looked sown up in the 65th minute when Vincent bagged his second, Matthew Blackford setting him through. This time he chipped the keeper from 14 yards.

Hadleigh got one back on the stroke of time, a well placed header lobbing keeper Dan Gentry and leaving him no chance.

The final blow came for Swaffham three minutes into added time, the Hadleigh equaliser coming following Swaffham protests of handball. Attendance: 94.

Stanway Rovers 0

Fakenham took their Norfolk Senior Cup frustrations (see back page) out on the pitch by bagging a win at Stanway on Saturday, helped by Rovers’ Joss Neale being sent off for two yellow cards.

Ashley Jarvis netted from the penalty spot. Att: 80.

Ricky Claxton scored nine at Clipbush Park in Fakenham Reserves’ 12-0 win over Sheringham Res. Scorers: Claxton 9, Brain, Harrison, East.

Matty Bussens rescued a point for the visitors with a second-half brace.

After a forgettable first half, poor defending gifted the home side the lead, and they then went 2-0 up.

Next Saturday the First Team are at home to fifth place Stanway Rovers.

It was a game of two halves back at Shoemakers Lane.

The Reserves went in at half time two nil up,both goals scored by Korben Willis.

The opposition, Buxton levelling the game and scoring the winner with the last kick of the game.

The Reserves travel to Beccles Caxton next Saturday.

The Under 18’s play Easton & Otley College Thursday night at the Football Development Centre, Bowthorpe.

They will be endeavouring to regain top position in the Thurlow Nunn Youth, North Division.

A busy weekend coming up for the Veterans.

On Saturday they are competing in the FA Peoples Cup, a national 5-aside competition, the regional round being held at the FDC Bowthorpe.

On Sunday they are at home to Wensum Albion Old Boys striving for another victory.
