King’s Lynn Community Football (KLCF) Walking Football Festival 2015 will take place on Tuesday, October 27: 1-3pm at Lynnsport 3G Astroturf, Lynn.

Walking Football, as its name suggests, is a modified version of the game where no running or jogging is allowed. It’s growing in popularity across the country with those predominantly aged over 50, who have retired from the regular version of the sport but wish to continue or restart their participation of the game.

A 5-a-side, round-robin tournament format will take place on the day with prizes for the winning teams. Games will be played on a smaller pitch with roll on, roll off substitutions being allowed.

Registration for individuals and teams will take place from 12.30pm. Start of play will be 1pm, with it finishing approximately 3pm. Presentation will be made from approximately 3pm-3.45pm.

Changing facilities, toilets and refreshments will all be made available to participants on the day.

Both individual and team entries are welcomed. Individual entries will be allocated into teams whilst organisations, clubs, friendship groups etc. are all welcome to enter a team.

Team entries should have a minimum of five participants and a maximum squad size of eight participants. Up to two Under 50 players allowed per squad. Cost is £3 per participant. Appropriate footwear e.g. Astro boots/Astro trainers should be worn.
