Denver FC held its end-of-season presentation night at the Live & Let Live in Downham with individual awards going to Darren Thorpe (Players’ Player of the Season), Ciaran Pennock-Halpin (Manager’s Player of the Season), Matthew Wolfe (Top Goalscorer), Liam Oliver (Most Improved Player) and Jordan Swanscott (Clubman of the Year).

North West Norfolk Football League chairman Ray Venemore presented the players with Division Three runners-up trophies after an excellent campaign in which the club also reached the League Cup final and the last eight of the Norfolk Cup, scoring 95 goals in all competitions.

Denver’s league form was particularly impressive, collecting 50 points from 16 wins, two draws and just two odd-goal defeats. Their goal difference of +65 was the best in all three divisions and the defensive record of only 15 conceded in 20 games including ten clean sheets was also the meanest in all three divisions.

Denver have already lined up pre-season friendlies and will be looking to strengthen the squad in preparation for promotion. Local players interested in being considered should contact manager Larry Halpin on 07730 548050.
