More news, no ads

Every year, north of 21 million people visit Cardiff, some two million or so of those visitors staying overnight.

There’s plenty to keep them entertained: Cardiff Castle, right at the heart of the city, spills out its two centuries and more of history.

There’s the National Museum, a masterpiece in the outstanding civic centre; the National Museum of History at St. Fagans, barely five miles from the castle, and Cardiff Bay, growing every year as a must-see attraction with its restaurants, bars, Senedd Cymru (Welsh Parliament), the Wales Millennium Centre, and boat trips from Mermaid Quay out to the sea barrage and Penarth Marina.
