Downham Stow 3rd win on their travels to Cromer 2nd




Downham Stow 3rd secured a convincing five-wicket win against Cromer 2nd in a well-contested fixture at The Norton Warnes Cricket Ground.

After winning the toss, Cromer elected to bat first.

Their innings struggled to gain momentum against a disciplined Downham Stow bowling attack.

Liam Davies was the standout performer for Cromer, contributing a solid 42 runs.

However, wickets fell at regular intervals, with Ashleigh Corbett delivering an impressive spell, claiming four wickets for just 13 runs in his five overs.

David Grady also made significant inroads, taking two wickets for 33 runs.

Cromer were eventually bowled out for 112 in 32 overs.

In response, Downham Stow faced early setbacks, losing opener Peter Harness for a duck.

However, Peter Barnard steadied the innings with a composed 28, and Toby Greenhill anchored the chase with a patient 35.

Despite a few more wickets falling, the middle order ensured there were no further hiccups.

Downham Stow reached the target, finishing at 116 for 5 in 24.5 overs, securing a five-wicket victory.
