Golf: Middleton Hall Pro Day success and King’s Lynn hole in one

Adam Lewarne, Middleton Hall Golf Club’s new Head Professional, organised his first Pro Day last weekend, which was a huge success.

Some 21 teams contested the day in a stableford format, with individuals entering their names into that competition’s ‘hat’ and with normally no team name, and the winning team came in with a great score of 57.4.

• King’s Lynn Golf Club member, Paul Savage took a smooth wedge from 121 yards down-wind on the fifth hole and found the green.

The ball hopped forward before gently spinning back into the hole. His achievement was also watched by the three players waiting on the sixth tee!
