Captains’ Drive-in at King's Lynn Golf Club: bumper crowd sees new club captain Robert Banks, ladies skipper Margaret Doubleday and junior captain James Shelderick tee-off
The beginning of March saw some sunny weather and a fully supported Captains’ Drive-in at Lynn Golf Club.
A bumper crowd turned up to see the tee-off between newly-appointed club captain Robert Banks, ladies captain Margaret Doubleday and junior captain James Shelderick to kick-off the year ahead.
This was followed by an 18-hole Greensomes competition and was won by Mick Ballard and Paul Wood with a score of 43 points.
Banks said: “We have been overwhelmed with the support and kind words. It’s been a fantastic start to our Captaincies and I’d like to thank everyone for making the day truly memorable.”
The day was very successful, raising over £500 for King’s Lynn Winter Night Shelter and the King’s Lynn and District branch of the Royal Osteoporosis Society.
