Heacham Reserves are spot-on in Norfolk Junior Cup




Weekend three of the football season saw several Division One teams start their Norfolk County FA Junior Cup campaign.

Heacham Reserves defeated Freethorpe Reserves on penalties, after playing out a 3-3 draw by the coast.

Birchwood beat a strong Mundford Reserves side 5-3 and Snettisham won the all NWNFL battle away to Denver.

Marshland Saints lost their unbeaten start to the season as they lost 3-0 to Norwich CEYMS Reserves.

There was still one league game which took place in the division, and this saw KLSC FC continue their fine form since promotion.

They overcame Gayton A in a 3-2 victory which saw Thomas Wagg and Samba Djalo amongst the scorers once again.

In Division Two, Upwell Town scored 11 (eleven) against Castle Rising. John Whyborn came away with four goals and Ricky Mason collected his first hat-trick of the season.

Docking Rangers defeated AFC Lynn Reserves by 7-1 at Kingsway, Barry Chilvers, Ash Woodhouse and James Davies amongst the scorers.

West Winch defeated Terrington 4-3 with Jamie Sands, Corbyn Owen-Jay and a brace from Rudi Stevens collecting the goals.

Watlington made it two wins in as many weeks as they overcame Ingoldisthorpe away from home.

In Division Three, KLSC FC Reserves defeated West Winch Reserves 4-1. Richard Newell collecting a treble for the home side.

Ingoldisthorpe Reserves claimed a convincing 4-0 win at Hungate, Daniel Fuller and Ant Kelly amongst the goals.

Weeting Saxons registered a 7-0 victory at home to Terrington Reserves.Clubman, James Langley, scored a hat-trick to take his season total to four.

Elsewhere, there were home victories for both Watlington Reserves and Marshland Reserves as they overcame Hunstanton and Docking Reserves respectively.
