Middleton Hall Golf Club captain hosts his Charity Day

Middleton Hall Golf Club welcomed some famous heroes and villains, the likes of Banana Man, Captain Marval, Super Mario and the evil Cruella de Vil who participated in the men’s captain charity day.

The format for the day was teams of four playing in a scramble format with a little twist added by the captain, where the dice would decide on which golf ball was to be used after the team had all hit their tee shots.

With the temperatures rising to above 25 degrees, being in fancy dress was not ideal, but some brave souls stayed in their costumes to the end.

The dice format made a big difference to the scores throughout, with only three teams breaking the net score of 60.

The eventual winners were Judith Hasbury, John Templeman, Derek Smith and Andy Thaxton with a team nett score of 55.4.

After the golf a silent auction took place for the captain’s charity and with some last-second bids, the auction was closed.
