King's Lynn Town close to bringing in new players for business end of National League North season

King’s Lynn Town are closing in on a couple of new signings ahead of their showdown with York City tomorrow.

The Linnets are in advanced negotiations with two new faces as they look to strengthen their National North League playing squad for the final third of the season.

Director of football Robbie Back said: “It is hard for every club this time of year to find the right players. We are working hard to bring the right players into this group.

“I hope we can give some news and bring some players in. We are very close to signing and I hope, in the next day, we can say yes.”

Back admitted it would be a major boost if the high-flying Linnets were able to strengthen their squad at such a crucial stage of the campaign.

“The squad has been a little bit thin the last few weeks with injuries but these boys have kept on getting results,” he said.

“I can’t speak more highly of this group. We have been working hard the last few weeks on bringing some new players in but they have to be the right ones to fit into this squad.

“We are not just going to bring someone in on a panic signing or rush our decision.”
